Empowering the At Home Dad: Transitioning from Breadwinner to Homemaker

Let’s be honest: stay-at-home dads are not the norm, nor are they always accorded the respect they deserve. Many people may question the choice, assuming it results from laziness or reliance on your sugar momma to bring home the bacon. However, this couldn’t be further from the truth.

At 44, I’ve spent a lifetime building businesses, many of which have thrived. Yet, the traditional business world’s pursuit of success can be an endless cycle. There’s always another goal to reach or a profit margin to chase. In all my years of entrepreneurship, I’ve found that I’ve never been as content as I am with my family.
What’s the point of dedicating 80 hours a week to work only to come home and repeat the cycle the next day? I vividly recall the year I had to forgo a trip to Disneyland to fulfill a crucial order. It’s a story my adult sons fondly remind me of even today. Unfortunately, such sacrifices were not rare during my business years.
The bottom line is that my decision to become a stay-at-home dad was not about avoiding responsibility or hard work. It was a choice born out of a desire to savor the irreplaceable moments with my family and find fulfillment in our bonds. In this role, I’ve discovered that success is not solely defined by business achievements but also by the joy, love, and memories we create at home.
Enjoy this time you have it rare and precious, and before you know it. Your sons are grown and gone, you retired and wondering now what? Oh I know, let’s write a blog. My point is this enjoy the journey take the road less traveled and enjoy being a at-home-dad. Its your calling and no one call argue with that

With unwavering commitment to the journey
